EFSL Bylaws state one-time exceptions can be granted by the team head coaches for parents acting as their child's coach when no team coach attends a meet and unattached swimmers must have a coach of record at every meet they attend. This person may be a parent or a coach from another EFSL team who has agreed to act in the capacity.
Parents acting as Coach of Record should be the EXCEPTION. Preferred option is for another EFSL coach from another team to represent swimmers when none of their team coaches are present at a meet.
The Coach of Record Guidelines is for parents and coaches to ensure they know what to expect and what is required of them before, during, and after a meet if acting as their team's Coach of Record.
